And I'm not talking about his milking the MAGA cow on the daily.

This is the most ludicrous sports take of all time:
https://twitter.com/dandakich/status/1537584415995355136

"Interesting.. Pacers are praised for picking Reggie Miller over Steve Alford in 1987 yet @Pacers have not won a single thing in the subsequent 39 yrs…would they have won anything w Alford? Who knows BUT what we do know is nothing was won w Miller"

You're insinuating that the Pacers should not have taken one of the three hall of famers from that draft class and the all-time face of the Pacers franchise and could have been better off picking the guy who started in a grand total of three games in his NBA career?

There's a BUNCH of bigger boobs than Dakich...

Steven A. Smith
Skip Bayless
Colin Cowherd
Mike Lupica
The Sports Editor at the Columbus Dispatch, whose 2 rules are 1) we MUST have an Ohio State football story daily, and 2) if we don't have an Ohio State football story, refer to rule #1
Common Man and T-bone on 97.1 The Fan
Most (not all, by any means) of the talking heads on sports betting shows
Joe Noga at the Cleveland Plain Dealer

That's it, off the top of my head.

I learned that I cannot stand listening to Common Man at times. T-Bone is tolerable but Common Man sounds like an absolute donkey.

He put that out there to get a reaction. He talked about it on his show and said the right move was Miller but he enjoys making fun of and getting a rise from "Indiana guy" that lives and dies with the Hoosiers. I suspect were he an Ohio native he would have a daily jab at Bucknut fans who are way worse than any Hoosier fan could be on their most silly Cream and Crimson tirade. Sorry you took the bait and reacted. He certainly got the fanbase responding that to this day think Steve walks on water and should be the IU coach.

You forgot the guy at NBC who decided it was a good idea to p*ss off viewers by loading up the US Open coverage with tons of commercials, and confusing viewers by putting it on three platforms other than the Golf Channel, including a pay service (Peacock).

Oh, and there's the guy at the NFL who decided to make their Thursday games even less attractive to viewers by making them pay Amazon for them.

The mass amounts of NBC commercials wasn't unique to the Open. Trying to watch the Indy 500 this year since I couldn't be there in person was like waiting for a dentist appointment. It seemed like there were commercials every 15 laps. Not ideal at all.

I guess the PGA will have to complain about streaming platforms like Notre Dame did when their Toledo game was moved to Peacock and everyone threw a fit when it turned out to be a good game that nobody saw.

Also - the NFL stealing college football's place on Thursday night is utter horse poo. Remember when Thursday nights used to be fun when they would have games in like Blacksburg or Louisville or MACtion before Tuesday/Wednesday MACtion? Good times. These NFL games are lame.

Ever since he came from Cincy and started espousing his view on all things Indiana....Needless to say I am not an Indy Star subscriber these days. Sad takes on things....he really shows what takes from the outside look like.

For the record Dakich said Reggie Miller was the single best draft in Franchise history as I listened back through....frickin pot stirrer.

I agree that Dakich is a real slumbag idiot, but to my mind the player who claims to be the guy fingered by Dakich in his mindless rant has a few screws loose himself.

Quote from article:

"Let me guess, some jack--- of a board member has a kid on the team at Scottsburg that didn't get to play enough," he said. "Shut the living hell up Scottsburg, Indiana. Shut the whole damn town down. Hey jack---, I may just drive down there and beat the hell out of every school board member."

He went on say that whichever boy on the team didn't get to play, "Your boy's a methhead. He's a pain in the (expletive)."

He didn't actually name a player. And, since I'm sure there were many players who didn't get the playing time their parents thought they should, I don't see how he can be sure he was the one fingered. And, that his Dad was the superintendent probably means he got more playing time than his talents would warrant.

Bottom line, though, Dakich is a total asshole!

I'm as far from a Buckeye fan as you can get, but if you're the sports editor at The Columbus Dispatch and you're looking to provide stories people in your readership will read, why wouldn't you have an Ohio State football story daily? I bet even the lamest Buckeye football stories in the Columbus Dispatch have more readers than a better story about other teams and other sports.

Point taken. But I doubt anyone would drop his/her subscription to this rag if maybe once every two weeks or so during the summer the editor took the Buckeye football space and devoted it to the Columbus Clippers, who are popular in their own right (4th best attendance in all the minors). For variety's sake if nothing else. I will give the editor kudos for increased coverage of boys/girls high school sports.
