Ohiobobcats.com has posted the compete MAC schedule for this year:

http://www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-baskbl/sched/ohio-m-baskbl-sched.html

01/09/11 vs. Miami (Oh) * Athens, Ohio TBA
01/12/11 at Akron * Akron, Ohio TBA
01/15/11 vs. Kent State * Athens, Ohio TBA
01/19/11 at Bowling Green * Bowling Green, Ohio TBA

02/02/11 at Central Michigan * Mount Pleasant, Mich. TBA
02/05/11 vs. Northern Illinois * Athens, Ohio TBA
02/09/11 vs. Toledo * Athens, Ohio TBA
02/12/11 at Western Michigan * Kalamazoo, Mich. TBA
02/15/11 at Buffalo * Buffalo, N.Y. TBA
02/19/11 ESPNU BracketBusters TBA TBA
02/23/11 vs. Bowling Green * Athens, Ohio TBA
02/26/11 at Kent State * Kent, Ohio TBA
03/01/11 vs. Akron * Athens, Ohio TBA
03/04/11 at Miami (Oh) (Subject to change) * Oxford, Ohio TBA
03/05/11 at Miami (Oh) (Subject to change) * Oxford, Ohio TBA

All in all, I don't like how this schedule plays out.  It'll be nice to have a bunch of home games at the start of MAC play with a young team, but finishing with 5 of your last 7 on the road, and only two home games over the final month of the season, is not ideal.  Add in always difficult road trips to CMU and WMU, and this is a very difficult slate.

Which means of those 5/6 home games early in the season we'll have to get some Ws. That four game home stand in January and early February should be no less than 4-0 in my opinion.

Is the bracketbuster home or away this year?  If it's at home that means that there is a home Saturday game for Dad's, Parents', and Sibs' weekend.  Good schedule for good crowds.

I believe we are away for the Brackbuster this upcoming year, after hosting Wright State this past season.

Weekend home games with Miami & Kent to start, then Dads weekend game against Buffalo...With the March run last year and a solid OOC run, we could see some HUGE crowds and momentum leading into the more weekday heavy game.

Anyone know if the weekend games will still be at the traditional 2:00?  I always preferred Noon for selfish reasons (kids naps).

No game for Sibs Weekend this year, which kind of stinks.  I know my sister had fun coming to games the past couple years.

Possible O Zone bus trip to Kent? I think it's the most appealing Saturday road game (depending on the date at Miami, but we just went there last year)

Andrew, Miami is a Sunday and that's the first round of NFL playoffs.  I hope it's not a noon start because history shows that we don't get very good crowds for those and we need a good crowd for Charlie and company.

*Sigh* I will never understand Sunday basketball games. They don't fit the culture of OU at all. It's the first weekend after the start of winter quarter and break, we have a game against our biggest rival. A win over Miami on would preceed the rest of Saturday well. Sunday is doesn't allow for any of that fun.

Those trips have traditionally been ones in which the team is able to fly there and back pending the weather which makes those trips a lot easier to manage than having to drive to Kalamazoo and Buffalo.

You know I didn't really check out what you guys had mentioned about the MAC schedule. But what I have gathered is that we actually have weekend home games versus rivals.  Having season tickets for over 30 years , the MAC normally did pretty well about having rival games on Saturdays  especially i;e Sibs and Dads. Those are called money games. I recently came back two winters ago and noticed that we played Akron ,Miami , Buffullo etc. during the week . thanks MAC.! ? None being televised. Now that OHIO is back on the radar we are going to get FSN games during the week and money games on the weekends. Last year was all Western , Akron, Kent etc;
GO CATS! Its all about who is winning. . this year , it is THE CATS!

I've said it before, a good quality MAC team should have no trouble going 12-6 or better.

I don't know, going 12-6 in the regular season seems like a tall task to me ever since the MAC switched to a 16 game schedule...

You got me! My point is that the MAC is not that tough these days. If we are a good team we should do well, despite the way the schedule is laid out.
