I did not know this.  Odd place to be - even though he is a NYC guy.

Pretty impressive career for Nee.  Great hire for them landing a coach of Nee's credentials.

Merchant Marine has always been a program that the larger schools have to look out for.

I love Coach Nee's quote about having his own team again. He has a great  resume, but in final analysis it's being around the players that is what is most important. Very cool.

BTW, my great uncle Bobby is a USMMA alum. He learned galley work and served as a chef at sea  as a lad. In his late 80s, he can still work his way around the kitchen. Old school -- the breakfast fruit cup  with the dab of whipped cream and cherry on top. Little glasses of juice. He treated Borna and I very well while we visited him out in Broken Arrow, OK,   when the Bobcats headed out to play Tulsa last season. Good times.

Wondering if Nee still plays softball against student intramural teams. Or if he still tends bar at a local watering hole.

Speaking of things that are hilarious, didn't Tim Cohane do a tour of duty as HC here?

I agree with McKinley...it's good that Danny wants to just coach, even if it's at the Div. III level.  This is a prestigious gig at the Div. III level...

I hope he moves out there so I don't have to run into him at the grocery store.
