So stop following the program unless all you did is heap praise upon the players because of course they never do anything wrong (quotes from Twitter which I'm not sure why it was allowed to be given back to the players but that's probably another post):

wish this wasnt my 1st tweet bak but if ur a fan n ur negtive n not supportive stop followin us as a team n stop followin me on twitter now!
and yall know who yall are... now im goin back into the shadows so dont expect anymore tweets from me people

Some people just don't get it. We as fans need to be more supportive of these young men. These are young kids, and we spend so much of our time over-analyzing their tweets and trying to bring them down because they lost to a Kansas team. Those who are ashamed of the 57 point loss and disappointed, shouldn't be the same ones talking about how great of a program we have when we beat Georgetown by 20. Being a fair-weather fan is one of the most despicable traits you can have as a person, and we all need to do better. No one is perfect, and some of us just need to mind our own business. If you don't like what the players tweet then don't read it.

really? now we're posting tweets of student athletes so we can call them out for being frustrated by a loss?  this is beyond dumb.

please delete this rediculous thread immediately.

I would counter that the inability to take off the green-colored glasses and give an honest assessment of a performance is far worse.

If they go out and lose by 20-25 points, then this game barely gets mentioned because in the grand scheme of things this game means nothing. This team's road to the NCAAs is determined by what it does in Cleveland. But to play defense like that is going to make more than a few people upset. Open look after open look. Offense not any better, 14 FG, 22 turnovers.

Is the season over? Far from it. On the flip side it wouldn't have been made last night had they won. But that was very disappointing. Not sure why some of you are having a hard time seeing that.

If the players don't like what the fans post on a message board then they shouldn't read it.

I agree with you that fair weather fans are "dispicable".  I also agree that we need to be as supportive about our student athletes as possible.

However, there's a flaw in that thinking that glares at me.  Being supportive is priority #1 as fans.  But if we reduce the sport to "at least they tried", what's that saying about what we think of them?  Did we beat Georgetown for nothing last year?  Was our MAC tourney run for nothing?  We criticize players, coaches, etc. more often than not because we know they are better.  Shouldn't that mean something?

(Also, please note  I'm not saying that you're in that camp of tee-ball thinking)

Really? The student athletes are the ones playing the game not you. You have no outcome on the game. All you can do is be supportive it doesnt mean you cant point out flaws but jesus DW is obviously taking the loss pretty hard and you post his twitter on here and mock it. Your a class act.

I was disappointed when he quit the team. Now that his true colors show, Im glad that he does not represent this great institution on the basketball court.  This is completely uncalled for.
