With Temple being ranked going into the season this year, I was wondering.....

- When is the last time a ranked opponent played OU in Athens? (in basketball & in football)?

1997 against Kentucky, isn't it?

I know  2008 against  Louisville, Wake Forest in 1999 and Kentucky in 2005 were all neutral site games.

Edit: Here's the record book since 1995 against ranked teams.

Sounds right.  1997 is listed as the #2 crowd all time in the Convo at 13,083 -- I have to imagine there was a LOT of blue in there!

Thanks guys.  Just briefly looking at previous schedules on ESPN though, it says that Wisconsin was ranked #10 when they played us in December of 2003.  According to them the game was at home.

Am I reading something wrong?

There were tons of blue people. And even worse because it was winter break.

It was a neutral site game that they probably classify as away because it was in Cleveland. According to the OU athletics write-up, the Badgers were ranked #19 at the time.

We were probably the official "home" team, but the game was played in Cleveland.  If you look at the ESPN box score (http://espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=233610195), it does indicated Quicken Loans Arena.

It does seem the record book is missing the Wisconsin game in the vs. ranked teams section because according to the athletic department, the Badgers defintiely were ranked at the time.

Wisconsin played in the Convo during the 2001-02 season but were not ranked at the time of the game.  It was a matchup of my school and my Dad's school.  They played @ Wisconsin in 02-03 (I was there)...then in Cleveland in 03-04.  So they were correctly left off the list.

I know the question was about ranked teams visiting The Convo, but the list was Ohio vs. ranked teams at any site, and Wisconsin seems to be missing from the list from the 03-04 season.
