with the snow coming in soon i have to expect that attendance is going to be weak.

Snow is/was no issue in Athens.  It's called Sunday basketball.  Bah humbug!  And just think, we have two more of these games in early January.

I think "December basketball" has a lot more to do with it than Sunday.

Sure, but as before I completely fail to understand why we would elect to compete with the NFL by scheduling Sunday games in November-December-January, unless absolutely, positively necessary.  I'm not saying it was the difference between 3,500 and 7,000, but I would guess we'd have had at least another 300-500 fans had the game been played 24 hours earlier.  For an athletics department in our position, every dollar (and thus ticket sold) should count.
Probably because the Convo is a multi-use facility, and the building hosted 12+ hours of high school ball Saturday.  I'm not saying Sunday games are ideal, but perhaps they are sometimes unavoidable.

The High School event was scheduled around the OU schedule, so that is not the reason.  I did enjoy things better when you knew games were Wednesday/Saturday.  And if there were 2,000 fans yesterday that would have been impressive.

It might have had to do with IUPUI's game in Columbus on Thursday.  Maybe they didn't want a quick turnaround.
