Interesting that the car theft is the lead and the sexual assault is a sidenote.  I'm guessing they are really going to bring the hammer down and he'll be suspended a practice for each incident.

Oh Stephanie Strom, taking a car without permission has a name, it is called grand theft auto.

Also, and this a question for those who are journalists, who as a reporter buries the sexual assault allegation?

He was charged with felony theft, but nothing as far as sexual assault yet, so I suppose that is why.

UpSan's got it.  You don't make too big a deal of an allegation because it can sound like you're incriminating the defendant, especially if s/he's not charged.
