Some of us have been shooting fiery darts at each other, expressing differences of opinion regarding the history of the MAC, the present state of the MAC and the future prospects of the MAC competitively and financially.

If we were to assemble a 10 person roundtable of "experts" to discuss these issues, who would be on the panel?

I'll nominate Charlie Coles.

I nominate Ted Thompson.

I also suggest we send an invite to Elton Alexander with the correct date and time but wrong location.

NickSkin should represent Miami. He has some good ideas...for a RedHawk.

I would prefer it to be moderated by any of the ESPN2 Tuesday night football broadcasters.  They seem to know the conference very well.

Id nominate McKinney.  He'd be a beam of sunshine amongst the negativity and outline how deceptively tough all the OOC opponents are.

I'd have some data to show how well Div. II, Div. III and NAIA schools had performed against the MAC since 2005.

Gotta give me credit for not building up St. Francis (PA), though, right??

Suggestions:

(1) Name Ted Thompson MAC Commish and Grand Pooh Bah!
(2) Disband the MAC
(3) Give Ted Thompson a raise

How about a former commissioner of a different (umm, more successful) conference that could come in and add an outside perspective?

I don't actually have a specific person in mind, and I'm too lazy to kick around wikipedia trying to figure out who would be a good fit, but I think you get the idea from my criteria above.
