The big men have at least started to pass the ball out of the post.  Now they're only shooting it on 90% of touches.  Progress, people.  Rejoice.

It's funny that we're talking about identity for this team.  We're not the only ones talking about identity.

This team never looked great on paper.

Agreed Dragon, those who were expecting big things may not have been thinking with their head. They are working and will improve!

I was disappointed that the Cats pushed the ball so little.  It comes down to lack of size and aggressiveness up front; a lot of rebounds come off the floor, so it's difficult to get the quick outlet.

By the way, how was the HVAC?

DA, I've sort of had the same feeling.  Like you I have nothing to base it on but a gut feeling, but I found that my gut instincts are often correct.  However, on the other hand, sometimes they are wrong.

This is a really stupid post.  I think this poster should have his posting privileges suspended for at least three months, or until after spring practice is over, which ever occurs first!

I dont think you can reduce Keely's minutes for a couple of reasons:

1) He appears to be our best defensive rebounder, which is something that we really need help with.  Sayles has shown that he can help in that category as well, so maybe we can put them both on the floor when we are struggling to get the ball back?

2) We need to get him minutes in the hopes that he can work through the funk that he is in.  He, Baltic, Jacobs, and hopefully Smith are all we have for next year in the Big department.  We need at least a few of them to step up or next year will but very similar to what we have seen so far this year.

Pretty good!  But, I have to say, it was pretty damn warm in there on Thursday!  Must've been that heat wave outside -- could've used some AC that evening!

It's funny this was brought up.  My wife said it was much colder in there than normal on Sunday.  Now she feels the need to layer this Sunday in case it's cold again.  I was, however, comfortable as always.

Completely agree...I was toasty Thursday.  Our usually reliable HVAC team had a rare night off.

Speaking of "emotionally sporatic," Robert Morris' coach was a trip.  Never seen a coach be such a jerk to his team from my seat at the Convo.  He's the youngest coach in NCAA Division I and while I give him kudos for a nice road win, he'll have to mature in his handling of young men if he's to stay in the profession.

Were you sitting close enough to hear him ask if the "boogey man" was going expected to switch on defense?  Hilarious stuff.  He was rough on the kids in the first half, but lightened up a little in the second half, which reflects the change in the scoreboard.

Agree with several of the comments regarding the frontcourt rotation. I realize we are VERY small this year, but everyone seems just so timid down low.

I think the player with the most offensive moves and greatest overall potential is Ivo. Washington is definately a 'tweener and does not really have any back to the basket moves. Give Ivo as much minutes as possible at the 4 and rotate and settle for solid defense and rebounding at the 5 spot. Not having a 'true' big man significantly cripples this team.....was amusing watching Washington go against an unathletic 6'11" big man against St. Francis the other week. Likely in trouble against teams during conference play with better post players - Akron, Kent, to name two....
