I think we have ourselves a player.  He didnt get consistent minutes today because of fouls, but he played well well on the floor for the most part. Two huge 3s and a big time drive to the basket in the OTs.  He looked like he was playing with great confidence out there.  I am really excited to see him grow down the stretch.

I like him too.  He seems to be our Stevie Fresh replacement.  They play a similar game and let's hope TJ likes hoops slightly more than hip hop.

Looked like he tried to play better and more physical defense today.   He had some tough matchups.  Got burned a coupla times, but seems to be getting better.

He could really get opposing teams matchup problems too.  He is athletic enough to drive the ball to the hoop at 6'6'' but can still board the ball pretty well with the bigger guys. I would like to see him get some looks in the post if he has that in his game.

TJ is one of the few bright spots with this season so far.  He has come on and now is starting. If Hall can continue to get better week by week it give us some hope.  Hall has a chance to have a nice career at Ohio. Next year we got some new guys coming in but Hall may be the guy at the 3 getting his name called every nite. He has gone from potentially redshirting to starting at the 3 for us. Hall has to be pretty excited about how his freshman season has gone so far.  He is a stat stuffer with scoring and rebounds from the wing.  He is being asked to play big minutes in big games. Shows the coaching staff has confidence in TJ.

I have been one of TJ's biggest advocates on this board.  Been asking for more minutes and JG has delivered.  Yes I did like seeing him drive that one to the hole and also play a little physical inside and grab some rebounds.  And while I've been asking to see more of him during the first half of the season, I don't at this point believe he's the missing piece of the puzzle.  In fact, I don't believe the missing piece is on the roster right now.

TJ has proven to be more of a spot up shooter ala Tommy.  He rarely drives the ball to the basket and rarely/if ever drives, draws a double team and kicks it to an open guy.  Not really a knock on him as he is a valuable asset, but that just doesn't appear to be his game right now.  His game appears to be more of a guy who can knock down a jumper at a more consistent rate as the season has progressed.  We certainly can use that skill set on this team and I still like the recruit.  However I think he and most of the other guy would really benefit from a #2 guard who's a playmaker.

We've seen this issue all season long.  Other than when we call a set play, a very normal offense for us is everyone grab a corner of the court; set a couple picks for DJ and well....I'm not really sure what you do tied-up at 70 with 10 seconds to go other than let DJ come up with something.  The options just seem so very limited.  And while I like TJ a lot as an option to get a kick-out for an open jumper, we still need that guy who can create the space for him to get than open jumper.

Same can be said for Kellog.  He either runs that little weave on the top of the key or finds a corner to set up camp in.  Like TJ, not the kind of guy right now who can drive it; attract help defense; and find the open guy for an open look.  Hope either one/both of them develop this or someone on the recruiting list for next year has this skill set.

I agree to an extent about Hall....I think he has settled a lot for jumpers but he seems to have some really good handle.  It may have been more about him not feeling comfortable than him not being able to get to the basket.  Hopefully he carries the second half of this game into the rest of the year.

As far as playmakers next year.....I think Mr. Taylor and Mr. Mitchell fit that bill.  I am more concerned about getting someone who can really board the ball.  Hopefully Baltic or Keely step up or Goard/Smith can fill that role
