I went to the post game press conference and filmed it with my video camera.

Speaking for Ohio was John Groce, DJ Cooper, and Tommy Freeman

Later, I will post the post game press conference for Miami in which Charlie Coles and Antonio Ballard spoke.

Just out of curiosity, why are these things held?  Are they really necessary?  The kids played a game, one team lost and one team one.  Next game.

Pretty much agree, Alan Swank.  But the cat's outa the bag; it's the machine and the machine demands CONTENT.

We don' want to not be doing these when all the comp--all the bigtime schools--are doing it...else we say that we're not a bigtime school...and what recruit wants to go with that?!

Yeah, if there's one thing this program doesn't need, it's media coverage. There's just way too much interest and too many people at the games.

Are we seriously complaining about this?

Thanks a lot BuffaloBobcat. This is something I've always hoped the general public could get access to. At least some of us appreciate the effort.

No question. We're talking about something that is a way for Ohio University to get out to the masses. What an awful, terrible thing to have. I hate reading about the Bobcats in the Messenger. Anytime an article shows up on ESPN.com or SI.com or any number of blogs devoted to college basketball it just makes me sick. What do these people think we are? A Division III school? These kids should just walk off the floor and go home. No one cares about getting more information. I'm sure there's hardly anyone here who gets on here to find out more about the team. We should go ahead and cancel the coaches show as well. What a waste of time.

I do not really care about the Ohio press conferences.  I listen to the post game show on the way home each game and the 5 minutes of Coach Groce with Russ and Rob is just fine with me.  I do think, however, we can all agree our lives would have a void in them without Charlie Coles post-game press conferences.

I'm about to add the Charlie Coles press conference in a little bit. It was pretty funny during a few moments.

Here's the thing.  If you don't care about press conferences, you can avoid them with no effort at all.  They're not even for you, they're for the people that write about the games and they're for the players and coaches so that they can address everyone at once instead of a bunch of people taking up more of their time later.

Sheesh.

 Sheesh.

The same could be said for the "drama" associated with attendance numbers...

Yeah I'd like to be able to do my job properly someday.  Definitely a purpose for having these.
