Forgive me for asking, but normally I play with the band and don't have to worry about tickets.

If my dad is coming today, and we're getting tickets to the game, is it possible to still sit together if I grab a student ticket and he pays for the $20 ticket?  Will the ushers make us sit in our seats since it's a special weekend?  Or can we get away with sitting anywhere we want once we're inside?
