Compliments of the fine folks over at MAC Pick Em...The Percentage of correct picks from the conference's most loyal fans involving each team:
Toledo - .828
Central Mich - .767
Kent State - .747
Ball State - .705
Northern Ill - .704
Miami - .645
Eastern Mich - .636
Akron - .604
Western Mich - .584
Bowling Green - .512
Buffalo - .477
Ohio - .448
The majority has picked correctly in only 4 Bobcat games (EMU, NIU, Toledo, & WMU). So when the Bobcats are playing (particularly when they're playing the East)...Expect the unexpected!

There was or maybe still is a weekly updated article on ESPN about who to bet on based on past performances against the spread. We have been one of the two worst teams in the entire country in point differential from the spread for about 6-8 weeks if I remember right. I think we were around -6.0 from the predicted point spread on average. That might be viewed as the 2nd most underachieving team int he entire country or perhaps the 2nd most overrated team in the entire country. Either way last nights big win and +15 points from the spread may drop us off that dreaded list. Huge win last night.

We almost certainly have the highest variance of any team in the conference.

I think I had us pegged with 3 MAC losses at this point; at Akron, at Ball State, and at Buffalo. We are a very hard team to figure out.

The "crap the bed" losses are only part of the equation. Few had us winning at Akron & Buffalo. Had we pulled off the buzzer beater at WMU, it'd be even more drastic.

The MAC is a wacky conference. I like how Matt Sussman over at Hustle Belt put it this morning:

• Kent State is the best team.
• Toledo is the worst team.
• There are, I think, 10 other teams in the conference.
