We also have Tony Davis (6-4, 255) and Eric Price (6-5, 225) who are on Wyoming High's basketball team, averaging double figures.

This may be an ignorant question, but if he is on a football scholarship, does he then walk-on to the basketball team if he wishes to play two sports, or would that count against both sports' scholarship totals?

It only counts against the Football Scholarships. Connor Barwin palyed both at Cincinnati and he was a Fotball Recruit. He now plays in the NFL. He was just helping out the shorthanded hoops team.

Robert Mercer also did that for us a few years ago. Although he did not play as much as Barwin did for UC.  http://www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/mercer_rob...

I believe Solich has a policy against two-sport players, though he granted Scott Mayle an exception.

Some guys opt to play two years of basketball after their four years of football are up

Or how about Washington going out for football in the spring to try to follow the KSU forward to NFL Stardom?
Tight end or pass rush specialist, with a body and speed like that he could be a find!

I'm guessing that the new seriousness of achievement about the football program precludes any but the very, very  elite of athletes from a 2-sport effort.
