It's  better than it's been in recent years.  But which team is going to be first to the magic season, the season that starts strong and stays that way all the way thru to serious national prominence?  Basketball or football?

Clearly, it's time.  The pieces are building for both teams to be tough.  Probably the best chance is two years from now for each, basketball needing bigs and football needing d-line and quarterback.

Let's get to big ball!

Tough question, Monroe.  Both of the two major sports are on the ascendancy.  I think that 2011-12 is going to be a banner year for both.  So, since football season comes before basketball season, I'm going to say football's going to achieve enhanced recognition a few months before basketball will do the same.   It's a great time to be a Bobcat! 

 P.S.  I don't discount the possibility of a little tourney magic this March.  So, I'll hedge my bet just a little.
