His 150 this season would put him in 7th on the single season assists lists already, with at least 12 games left. If he maintains his 7.9 per game, he'll accumulate 245 this season, easily besting last season's mark and putting his two seasons 1-2 all time. It seems highly unlikely he WON'T own the top two spots at the end of the year.

Special player.

Gman, any chance you could do this on a per game basis?  Seems like we play more games now than we used to.

1992-93 - 27 total games played

2000-01 - 28 Games played plus 2 tournament games

2010-11 - 31 Games scheduled plus the tournament

At least that is what I count, I am sure SBH will come along to check my math.

DJ should be the all-times steals leader...in 3 years.  He should beat last year's season total for assists and he might smash it.  He also should be the all-time assist leader by the end of next year.  It's crazy.

And Sonny smashed that steals record, and DJ should smash his record.  Props to DJ, he's a special player.

Not to take anything away from DJ because he'll probably go down in history in what I'll call the "memorable class of Bobcats" but his single season record came in a season when we played five more games than when Sonny set the record.  Just comparing apples to apples.

True, but in the MAC Tournament and NCAA Tournaments (6 total games) DJ only had 8 steals combined... which still puts him above Sonny by a few, so DJ actually broke the record in fewer games than Sonny needed...

Right you are AB - good research.  What's amazing though is in the three games in Cleveland (Akron, Miami, Kent) DJ only had one steal and we still won all three games.

If Coop plays four years here, he is well on his way to shattering the conference career assist mark (768 by BG's David Greer).
