DJ was credited for 2 steals v. Kent, although I would have guessed he had more.

Thus the following question: defender A tips an opposing player's pass with teammate B recovering the ball. Who is credited with the steal? Player A or B? I can think of a couple of times last night where DJ tipped the pass and a teammate recovered the ball for possession. DJ created the turnover but I'm wondering if he is credited with the steal.

I'll never be confused with the smartest person in the room, but I always thought the player who created the turnover, in this case the one who tipped the pass, was the one credited with the steal.

Whoever comes up with the ball is who gets the steal, so certainly, Cooper has created some steals for other players.

I'm not sure if somebody posted this yet or not, but it's something I just came across.

Not sure I want to wait that long.  Last I heard, a patent takes quite a long time to get approved.

I think its great that Coop is having a great season. Some of his numbers are astounding. What is not astounding, or anthing close, is that these performances are not leading to Wins. We need a big man to step up and take some of the pressure off of the guards.

Forgot to mention that with DJ's 15 assists against Akron,  was the 2nd highest total for assists for an Ohio player in a game. Dennis "Dink" Whitaker had 16 assists  in a game in 1988 against Western Michigan. Plus DJ's 15 assists tied the JAR record for most assists in a game there.
