Reading the Akron preview got me looking at some of the Ohio Basketball Records. Coop set single season records for steals(93...11 more than the previous record) and assists(218...19 better than the previous record) in his Freshman year. With his 68 steals and 217 assists to this point this season, he will probably break his own records in both categories. His total 161 steals 4th all time for a career and his 435 assists puts him 3rd all time. It is remarkable what he has done so quickly. The records he sets at Ohio may never be broken. I know it is still early, but regardless, DJ Cooper's name will live in infamy at Ohio University for a very, very long time. Jamerson, Trent, Cooper.
Also, he is only 31 points away from 1,000 in his career.
