I have such a hard time thinking about being a young D-I athlete and choosing to live in Youngstown, Ohio.
My brother went to YSU for two years. I never realized their campus is essentially gated from the rest of the community until I went and visited him one time. His 2nd year he lived off campus and that was scary.

Is there any other D1 program that has gone 8 days without a game? I won't be shocked if we take it on the chin simply due to lack of real game action.

Hopefully Boals is keeping the team in shape during this time.

Just realized we have another 9 day break in between Delaware and Chicago St.

That seems crazy to me but I won't pretend to be in the know when it comes to scheduling.

It's actually not uncommon for schools on semesters to give their athletes a break during finals and/or for holidays. For example Duke plays Md Eastern Shore on Dec 10 then breaks for finals and doesn't have a game until Dec 20 against Wake Forest and then a holiday break and don't play again until Dec 31 against Florida St.

Yeah I browsed some schedules since I made this post. It does seem somewhat common, however, of the schools I looked up, I didn't see any that had two different gaps like we do. Typically they had one that was about 7-8 days then they got back to 3-4 days between.

That's.... Unacceptable. Understand we need the Convo for commencement ceremonies but the answer cant/shouldn't be "Welp we have Ping?" How many practices is this affecting? Anything more than 1 is not good.

Granted this is a gameday thread.(I am considering NFL implications) I tend to wonder about scheduling around this time of year.. Why not a Saturday matchup for the Cats and Penguins? or Monday? I doubt this game was scheduled years in advance.

The break was for finals week for OU , I'm also surprised that it being played at 2pm on Sunday instead of yesterday. The only thing I can think of is if YSU had to be prepared to host a potential FCS playoff semifinal game yesterday which dates are known in advanced and that why the game is set for today.

Man, a 16-2 run by them and we seem to have no answer. Offense has gone silent. Seems to be too many threes and Wilson is no factor- he’s got the only 2 points during that run.

Turned it from the Browns mess just in time to catch Youngstown on a 20-5 run.

Think I'm gonna watch something more enjoyable, like the video of my colonoscopy.

It's nice to see Hunter and Baker shoot well. Youngstown State is a really good team. Nice to see us pull out the win.

Watching this game on my computer with the other eye on the Browns-Bengals game. Glad we pulled it out DWIII is the Man! Glad to see AJB make some good shots. Things are looking up for the 'Cats!

Anyone notice that Miles Brown was on the bench the final 8 minutes (or so)? Instead, Boals went with AJ Brown during this final stretch. More so, Boals assigned AJ to the hot-shooting Brandon Rush, who led all scorers with 26 pts.

Miles was hurt. Injured when he fouled a guy shooting a 3 pointer.
