When I looked at this years schedule and saw that we were playing Florida and Stetson back to back, it brought back memories! We played them on the road in 1978 to open the season. We got trashed by Florida and won a close one against Stetson. In between we had a road trip to Disney World.

The funniest thing I remember is when we checked into the hotel in DeLand where we were playing Stetson. On the electronic billboard out front was a rolling message: “ Go Cats, Top Hats”. Stetson is the Hatters.

I meant they had a sign being pulled by a horse.
