I kind of get it. Beffs rolled Kant in Buffalo and only lost at Kant by 3.

Most Vegas books have moved OHIO to -3 to -3.5 favorites. They also have the KSU-Buffalo game as a pick-em.

Meanwhile, Ken Pomeroy has:

Ohio as a 1 point favorite over Ball State, winning 54% of the time.

Buffalo a 1 point favorite over Kent State, winning 54% of the time.

Akron a 4 point favorite over Miami, winning 66% of the time.

WMU a 5 point favorite over BGSU, winning 70% of the time.

I like our chances against the Cardinals, but we need Nick Kellogg to be close to 100% if we hope to win the tournament.

Here's one more take based on the current Sagarin numbers:

Ohio and Ball State are virtually even (Sagarin's Predictor has BSU a .03 point favorite).

Buffalo is a slightly better than 1 point favorite over Kent.

Akron is a little better than a 3 point favorite versus Miami.

WMU is almost a 5 point favorite against BGSU.

Who should win Thursday for the biggest possible crowd Friday night? Ohio, Akron and Kent for sure, but what about WMU v. BG? Which team would bring the biggest numbersfor the semis?

I think WMU's fanbase is slightly better than BG's, or at least attendance has indicated it is. But BG is so much closer, I'd have to say BG.

I think BG advantage is the # of BG alums in Cleveland area - not travellers from BG.

Bet Kent, Ohio, & WMU and I can't imagine not getting 2 out of 3.  I'd stay away from Akron Miami...Who knows?
