Hey guys,

I'm at work so I don't have a whole lot of time to research this right now - just wondering if anyone can give me a quick answer...

How do I go about getting the $10 student tickets for tomorrow night in Cleveland? Will I be able to purchase them there or?

Also - those $10 tickets will only get me into the games we play, correct?

Thanks!

Guy at ticket office I just called hadn't heard about them. Directed him to the story about it, so he is looking into it.

One thing I do know is that tournament tickets are session tickets, so a Thursday ticket would be the 7 and 9:30 games, and a Friday ticket would be good for both semifinals, if we make it there.

Last year we purchased our student tickets at the Ohio Ticket table in the Lobby at the Q, right before the first semifinal game (Akron vs. The fighting Kools of WMU).  Im assuming that you will be able to do the same this year and should be able to get them at the Q again this year before the session.

The only problem I have with this is that last year a couple friends I know (students) paid around $30 per ticket when purchasing them at the Q...That was for the championship game, I think. But not sure if they just didn't go about it correctly or?

I called earlier and they were just confused.  Then after reading the board and that they were looking into it I called back.  Student tickets will be available at a table in the main lobby of the Q.  It is pretty easy to find and if I remember correctly it is right next to their Cavs store inside the Q.  Tickets for all rounds are $10 for students.

Last year it was $10 for semi finals and then $10 for the championship for students.  I made the mistake of graduating and leaving athens in June, so will have to pay full price for tickets.  I wish more students took advantage of this great deal, but completely understand it with regards to finals.

Per an email sent out, and a conversation with a marketing staffer, student tickets will be free for first 100 who show up at the table each round, and Ohio's tables will be in the Arcade Entrance of the arena (it is well labeled -- Huron & 6th).

Not sure when they'll open up for sales.

Any idea on the price after the first 100?

Should be $10 thereafter, though the email didn't indicate that.

O Zone Members-
You can get FREE tickets to each MAC Tournament round in Cleveland by being one of the first 100 students to the “Q”. For each game Ohio participates, the first 100 students will receive a FREE ticket at the Ohio Will Call table (located inside the Arcade Entrance of Quicken Loans Arena). Tickets may be picked up beginning 90 minutes before each Ohio game (8:00 pm for Thursday and Friday games, 4:30 pm for the Championship).

After the first 100 tickets, all student tickets are only $10. For more ticketing or tournament information, please respond to this email or call the Ohio Athletics Ticket Office at 800-575-CATS (2287). Click here to view an updated tournament bracket.

See you in Cleveland...GO BOBCATS!

Just got that, will be calling tomorrow to ask about the 8pm time.  Seems silly if the tix are good for the 7pm game.

EDIT:

We will have an Ohio staff member at the will call table beginning at 5:30 to accommodate fans who wish to attend both games. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Just got that reply, as a heads up for any students looking to take in the Kent/UB contest tomorrow night.
