They looked dead in the water and came back to get a nice win vs. St. Mary's. The Gaels ran a nice end-game play but their guard biffed on a layup.

He sure did biff on the layup, although it looked like he put a little more air on it than he wanted because Porrini came over at the last instant. Very impressive win for Kent especially since they had a long trip and not much time to get there.

I agree with how St. Mary's missed that last lay-up.  He was avoiding the block and just put too much on the lay-up!  He will be seeing that play in his dreams for a long long time.  As I posted on the other thread about this game, I was very impressed with both teams and the way they played this game.  Two very well coached, talented teams that got after each other!  If Kent can land one more big who can play at all, they could easily be the class of the MAC again next year.  They are certainly well coached by a guy who has done the best job in the MAC the past two seasons IMO.   They will be a handful for all the teams chasing them next season.   Maybe Geno will get the NC State job, or Arkansas, and we can break in a new coach at Kent!  (Jeff Boals if Geno leaves)

Please do not put Kent state and class in the same sentence. And just a warning, keep your mofo hands off of Boals. He is OUrs.
