I just came across a very sad article about Billy Donovan and two of his former assistants who were SEC head coaches this past season (Grant-Alabama, Pelphrey-Arkansas). At the very least it puts things in perspective, and thought I'd share.

Saw this same article through a very well done piece by CBS on their Final Four show yesterday. Thoughts go out to all three families, which by the piece just seem to be one large family. I was unable to find it on CBS' website. Maybe if someone else can find it they would be able to post it.

While I've never experienced the loss of a child, I can say that this article reinforces one of the things that I've learned over the years. Some of the most important lessons about life and the people around you come during times of difficulty and sorrow. Thanks for sharing the article.

It's an oddity about our culture. Very few of us are aware that over 25% of pregnancies do not come to full term until we become part of that statistic. There is a tremendous feeling of solitude and shame when these things happen; yet it really happens to a lot of people and it really is through no personal fault or failure.
It's a valuable thing in a horrible personal time to find a person to identify with. I wish it wasn't such a moving story to hear about people who did.

I think that this is the link for the feature that was on CBS. Very well done.
