Simple question...why is Elmore not getting BRod's minutes?

BRod now 2-18 from the field last 6 games (through half-time of Buffalo game).

What is Boals seeing that we've all been watching now for the last 1 1/2 seasons with BRod? He can't throw it in the ocean if you gave him a row boat and a life preserver.

Sorry....time to play Elmore over BRod.

Probably bc he's 6'5"/6'6".

Elmore is 6'3". The whole team is 6'3". It's unreal.

Honestly, he's also a SR on a team with 9 newcomers. Ideally hes some sort of floor general, defense leader out there, but this team has no defined roles. Or size.

Update after Buffalo game: 2-19 from the field last 6 games. Somebody needs to explain how BRod played the final 6 minutes of this game.

There's more to the game than offense.

Only one thing counts on the scoreboard. At the end of the game they don't add up steals, deflections or stops. Wait...he didn't have any of those either.

I agree . . . and maybe some other lineup changes as well. There are times when AJ Sheldon has look good in limited playing time -- as a ball handler more than a scorer, but tonight was not one of those times. Or, maybe give more PT to Quinn Corna, the most prized recruit since Walter Luckett. ;-) Just trying to stir the pot. It just seems to me that something has to change if we are going to get out of our current rut.

In fairness, this team reeled off 3 in a row including an impressive win at Delaware; so I’m not sure we’re in a rut. However, it seems like we’re going to be frustratingly inconsistent and not have a clue what team is going to show up each game after last night.

Sheldon has the makings of a true PG. I wish EJ4 could play the point since he’s physically ready. Jaylin shows flashes, but his decision making, turnovers, and wanting to shoot the team out of a slump — instead of looking for Miles, AJB, or DW3 can be so frustrating.

Jeff...seriously...over the last 49 games from BRod, what have you seen out of him that warranted him (over AJB) being on the floor for the final six minutes of a close conference game at Buffalo?

I'll hang up and listen.

It seems to me that BRod has actually gone downhill further this year. He's still missing the 3s that he was making two years ago, but now he seems to be missing crucial layups more consistently. He still hussles a lot and gets some good rebounds, but overall I think he's earned a spot further down the bench. I'd be thrilled if against BG he comes out of this long slump and hits six three-pointers in a row, but I'm not holding my breath. From what I know, I really like BRod as a person, but something has happened to his game. In a way it kind of reminds me of Ivo and TT in football -- just a shadow of his former self in terms of the game he plays.

I see that this player has some real upside.
He made a real power move to the hoop for a layup that no one would want to attempt to guard much less attempt to block his shot.

Rut?? How could this team be in a rut when they had won three in a row convincingly coming into the Buffalo game? Last night was a very inconsistent effort, but we haven't been playing that way lately. It's like you got raptured and missed the last three games, OCF. ; ) Hopefully, this was a one game setback.

OK, "rut" was probably a poor choice of words, but we haven't been exactly setting world on fire this season. The wins over Stetson and Delaware on the road were nice. I must admit that I missed the thrilling victory over the vaunted Chicago State team, as I was watching the much more exciting Arizona Bowl. It just seems to me that this team has been underperforming most of the year, with a few notable exceptions, like in the OT loss to Michigan and the YSU win. I guess we'll need a few more wins to wash the taste of the Marshall and Florida games out of my mouth. We really stunk up the gym in those contests. Here's hoping we start a nice long winning streak against the "Mighty Falcons" as my BGSU alumnus friend always refers to them. Go OHIO!
