Just to be clear this government involvement was not related to the 90-team tournament recommendation but to issues related to NIL. The full quote: "As for rules related to athletes cashing in with celebrity endorsement deals -- a profound change over the past 18 months in college sports -- the committee's report made clear the solution is beyond the NCAA's reach: 'Congress is the only entity that can grant that stability.'''

Your use of the quote is totally out of context as to what problem the "solution" is refering too. Nice job for an astute and former journalist. And her actual quote and what the quote references is 110% accurate, and something I have had to say 1000 times because some just do not get it. The NCAA is powerless to deal with the NIL situation.
