Don't look now but the Flashes are leading WVU and Huggy Bear by 10 1/2 way through the second.

Bonus:  Bill Raftery doing the color.

This tip off marathon time is worked out pretty got for Kent.  They get WVU when their arena is prolly only half full.  WVU has pulled within 6 8:42 left.

Man kent state looks real good. Not looking forward to playing them this year.

On a side not the MAC is looking really strong this year. Maybe we begin to gain a little respect if we can pull off some of these wins.

Early returns indicate that the MAC may be a half step or full step improved this season.  Really hoping this trend continues.

Even NIU's 2 pt loss at home to Milwaukee was a good indicator.  NIU might be the weakest team in the league; if they can improve and win a few OOC games, it will help the overall rating of the MAC.

Only major disappointment so far was WMU's road loss to South Dakota State.

Wonder if WVU has internal problems...they lost to Northern Kentucky in exhibition play.

Good win for Kent State. I don't want to take anything away from the win. Winning on ESPN against a Big East team is huge, but West Virginia is bad.

They lost to D2 NKU in an exhibition game and they just aren't good this year. No playmakers, but they are a Bob Huggins team so they must have some big, physical defenders right? No, not really. They are just bad.

Congrats to Kent. It's a good win for them and it's good for the MAC as well. I know WVU is bad based on their standards, but a Big East win is a Big East win. Kent will be a force in the MAC this year and with the Akron win at Miss. State the other night, the MAC has got a good OOC start.

I would say that NIU losing by 64 to Purdue was disappointing. Any MAC team losing by 64 to anyone is disappointing.

Yep and even if they are bad they will have an elevated RPI.  This was the Big East's first loss of the season making the conference 28-1 on the year.

We've been saying for 2-3 years now that the coaches and the recruits they have been bringing in were better than before...and I think we might start seeing that play out on the court more this year.

I watched the highlights at half time of the SDSU / Baylor game. They showed Senderhoff's half time speech. It was a good one. He said (something to the affect of) "we took WVUs best punch, and theyre playing a lot of freshmen. If you keep pressuring them, they will crumble. I guarantee it." He was right.

I guess the only way you can get a win like this is to go out and play it.
