Terry Pluto is doing his part to try to drum up interest in Cleveland for mid-major hoops. I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice if the MAC saw a bump in numbers from scorned NBA fans.

I see a "possible" jump in attendance in some NBA markets (like Cleveland). But I don't there will be any appreciable difference in a place like Athens....

Especially when we schedule all of our non-conference games during Bengals/Browns/Steelers games. I don't understand that.

I don't know if the lockout will help attendance, but If it gets some of OUr basketball games on national TV like it did football games, keep 'em locked out!! More attention for OUr hoops team would be great.
(Can you imagine being a first round pick from last year though? That would suck so bad.)

Athena,
What about the underclassmen that left early for the draft? ND could have used Carlton Scott last night. Maybe Sullinger knew something when making his decision.

Anyone who left early was either dumb or convinced their stock would only go down. Everyone knew a long lockout was coming.

Yes, the guys who left early have to be feeling really bitter! Almost makes me feel bad for hoping they remain locked out so the 'Cats can get some national TV exposure.
Almost...

I'm sure there were many making sure he was very aware that the lockout was a virtual certainty - maybe even some coaches???
