I know, I know, it's Bleacher Report. Nobody really likes Bleacher Report, myself included.

But it has a cool photo of D.J. playing against Tennessee.

After a stellar sophomore season where Cooper posted seven double-doubles, the 5'11" point guard will not be sneaking up on anyone.

yeah, because DJ snuck up on everybody after a quiet freshman year. idiots.

Well to be fair if one doesn't follow the MAC then yes indeed Cooper had a "quiet" freshman year.

I can't even tell you the name of the team that upset Louisville in the NCAA 1st round earlier this year, let alone if they had a key freshman on that squad.

I didn't even know Tu Holloway was that good (and maybe he isn't THAT good)  and I'm here in Ohio. I can easily project that the typical college team has little to no Idea about D.J. coming into last season.  Only the coaches knew.

If I write a Bleacher Report article and say he's the best player in the nation, will someone link me?

If he's number 84 then we have two in the top 100.  This team will go as far as Walter Offutt can take them.  He's an old school type of player.  Even Norman Dale would have loved him.  Offutt and Kellogg need to be on the floor 60 to 70 minutes each night if we hope to get a bye or two in Cleveland.

+1 per Offutt. So far I don't have an issue w/the rotation off the bench - I think that is an assett - fresh legs, variety of looks, etc. As the season progresses the rotation depth/time could become more compressed, but until it is essential, exploit the opportunity and benefit of the depth.

I agree 100% on Offutt. He's our #1 guy at the moment. Not taking anything away from DJ, but Walter has been just great so far.

Did anyone hear why Goard didn't play? I sort of  think Groce leaving him on the bench while giving Ethan minutes was a 'message'.

Offutt is somewhat like Bassett in that, talent-wise, he just looks a step ahead of everyone on the court. On the plus side, I think he is a significantly better teammate and a true "character" individual.

To have both DJ and Offutt could make this a really special team. They are both above MAC-level talents. If we had one more that was, say, 6'10....this is a top 25 team.

We're probably with the majority of D1 teams per above.....

I think I would take our next 6 after DJ and Offutt over the rest of the MAC's next 6, and the vast majority of other D1 teams as well!
