It's pretty obvious that we're going to have some MAC East dogfights this year vs. Kent, Miami & Akron.  I guess no different than last year.

One commentator mentioned that they thought should Kent St. get knocked out of the Conference Tournament, they think the MAC could be a 2 bid league this year??  Guess they were very impressed with them vs. WVU, whose not very good right now.

Was at the Miami/Xavier game tonight. Even without Orlando Williams, these guys are still tough. They pushed Xavier to the edge, and it wasn't because Xavier played bad, Miami's defense was just that good.  Miami is going to be a tough out this year, tougher than most years I think. They shut down Tu Holloway and forced him to take a lot of erratic shots. Mavunga and Edwards made the bigs come outside and shot the three very well. If our guards don't outplay theirs, it's gonna be hard for us to win.

Akron's win over Miss. State continues to look better and better, as they knocked down #16 Arizona (who Ball State also took to the wire).  I hate getting my hopes up, but it does seem the league as a whole may be up a touch this year.
