This reminds me of my friend from Chicago who so loves Shamrock Shakes and believes they should be a full time menu item that he LITERALLY orders one every single time he goes to McDonalds.  Every time, all year long.

Thanks for the memory jog, BL.  Funny stuff.

And why exactly do you keep going back so much that you can document this as the "umpteenth" time?

Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me.

There are other options . . . or did you get one too many cold cups of coffee at the former Coffee Cup?

My fast food pet peeve is the lack of consistency in Wendy's Frosties.  Soupy one day, ice creamy the next.  And when I ask the order taker if the mix is soupy (bad), he/she never tells me the truth.  Consistency is job 1 in fast food.

I, for one, am eagerly anticipating his thread on shopping for fruit, in which he laments the fact that each individual piece of fruit has a sticker on it, and wonders what the hell one does with a papaya anyway.

Or why the box of McD's chocolate chip cookies is always so much bigger than the amount of cookies inside.

What bugs me is they won't give me half vanilla and half chocolate. How difficult would that be???

That's why I spend my time here whenever I get back to Akron.  The one in North Akron is the best.

I don't know Al.  I've been to all locations at least 3 times each, most 10+ times, and some probably close to 50.  I think they control quality extremely well with all locations getting the exact same service and food quality.

Although the North Akron location was the first one I visited while in a car seat 30+ years ago.

Have you been lately?  The galley boy is at least 2x what it used to be.  I used to get 2 and now 1 is all I can handle when I pair it up some onion rings and a strawberry shake.  The one 10 minutes down the road from me here in Jackson is facing some competition from a newly built Sonic.  I'm hoping it can survive.

I consider myself a milkshake connoissuer (those who know me surely not surprised - XXL - all in waist!). Swenson's Root Beer Shake is a Top 10 in all Ohio!

Athen's best (and one of best in SE Ohio) was Ray's Freeze Oreo Shake (w/just a bit o'extra milk) - miss it still!

Ray's son ruined that business. I have stories. I would have bought it if I had had the chance.
