I believe that tonight was his first triple-double of his career.  Quite impressive game, as he was constantly active on defense as well.  What a performance by the team and DJ most certainly led them.

Sure was.  I made the comment several times his freshman year that I'd be shocked if he left here without recording one.  Does anybody know who else (if anyone) from Ohio has accomplished that feat?

Congrats DJ!

I remember Dick Schorr talking about someone doing it, but I can't remember who it was.

And add the five steals to the triple double.  Some may not like it, but the kid is what makes OUr team go.

And some say he's not the best point guard in OHIO basketball history...really?

It might be Dink Whitaker during Hunter's first year. That team was horrible and I still maintain that Hunter getting 12 wins out of that team was his best coaching job ever. It was Dave Jamerson...Dink...football player Jerry LeBold at center and Chad Gill at power forward. And don't forget Rick Hoffman....wow.

The NCAA Div 1 record for consecutive games w/a Triple Double is 2 - may have a shot at this.

Been digging for a while - can't find Ohio info for last Triple Double anywhere.

anybody hear why DJ got a technical late in the 1st half?

I watched the replay and from what I could see DJ drove to the basket and was pushed out of bounds and  crashed into the ref. Without looking back at the ref he immediately ran back onto the court and got about 2 steps in when the ref called it. I didn't see any demonstrative actions and the contact with the ref was quick and incidental, guessing he said something under his breath?

the VP on that tea would be the guys who set screens. I met a BG former player who talked about the entrie left side of his body being black and blue the week after they played OHIO as he trailed Jamerson "off a thousand screens each game" ahich brings to mind the question...are guys like him and Steve Alford not shooters because they needed screens and plays run for them to get a shot?

DJ is one of the more complete PG s I can remember in the MAC since I have been watching in the early 60's FWIW

Born......Hunter had to pull Lebold off the football squad just to get enough guys to put a team on the court his first year in 89-90. Without Lebold...that team would have probably won 4 games. I would love to know how many 3's Jamerson drained that year because of Lebold screens. Dude was only like 6-4/6-5, but was a rock...nobody got through him.

I saw the Portland game by webcast, and I thought it was one of DJ's better games as a Bobcat.

As for shot selection, I saw several times where he deliberately held off on taking a quick three.
