Losses to Louisville & Kansas, and a loss within the group (CSU over Kent).  Only bad loss is CSU to Hofstra.

Have we hired one or more large bandwagons?

We are good.

Funny how that SOS works out.  Lots of posters on this board were complaining about our schedule and low and behold, it's a pretty solid schedule.

That said NC A&T and Kennesaw St are two of the weaker teams on our schedule, they're at home, and we haven't played them yet. That'll bring the ol' SOS number back to earth a bit.

I don't think the schedule is awful, but I would like to see a bit of a more prestigious team come into the Convo like when Virginia, Wisconsin, or Temple have visited Athens in years past subbing in for one of the above bottom feeders.

Even finding a name midmajor like Dayton, Cleveland St, Old Dominion, Creighton, or someone of that ilk to play some home-and-homes with us would be a solid step up.

I agree with your line of thinking on scheduling someone more "prestigious".  I just don't know who you're going to get.  I think continuing with WSU is a good thing.  As is Marshall and Oakland.  I'd like to see us play UD, XU, OSU and UC more than anyone, but for some reason it's not happening.  Cleveland State would be a good game for us.  Youngstown St isn't a bad thing either and probably better than Kennesaw.  Other teams that have value for us to play out of state but nearby:  Duquesne, Butler, Detroit, Indiana St, Va Tech.

I don't know the things that go into the schedule making.  What I do know, is that this year's schedule has created the opportunity for OUr guys to play some solid teams without going into a situation where we're playing 3-4 games that could be bad losses.  It's also giving them a real shot at going into conference season with only two losses.

Completely agreed with what you say above. And I don't think this schedule is a travesty by any stretch (those discussions happen on the football board) and I like the idea of scheduling the team picked to win the MAAC and stuff like that. I'm just looking for a little tweak or two to make sure that we capitalize when we have a really solid team like we do this year.

Guess which one of the above is still winless on the road going into this weekend's games.

The one who has only bothered to leave their friendly confines once, obviously.
