Didn't see this mentioned elsewhere, but we received 3 votes last week, putting us #40.  Sitting at #36 is Northern Iowa (7 votes).  With this game tonight, how high could we move?

I would venture to say that we could get to the top 30 after tonight. It really will depend on how UNI rebounds. If they go back out and play strong, we will only look better. I would love a Top 25 spot but I think that could be a few weeks away. Maybe by the time the Robert Morris game comes around, if we are still at only one lose, I could see us as anywhere between 22-25.

If Ohio gets in the Top 25, the Associated Press starts staffing home games. That makes a huge difference in how much love you start gettting around the country. People start reading about your program coast-to-coast in round-ups and see you in the T25 agate.

We look at it as frivolous, but it's actually a very big thing for the notoriety of a program to get ranked.

Still a long journey to go, though.

Top 25 is too much to ask.  Too many other teams to pass at this point.  If UNI had been top 25, then maybe; but they got only 7 votes this week, so I'd expect Ohio to get double figure votes in AP and maybe some in USAT, even with a blowout of NCAT Friday.  Now, if they're 13-1 going into conference play, that may be another story.

Though I do think we could use some 6th man help at the R Morris game - I have already planned my Holiday travel schedule to make sure we will be there for that game - we will need some bodies in the seats to help keep up the intensity.......

Agree...Bobby Mo is dangerous. I'm really glad this game is not the next one up.

How soon we forget Morgan State.  Nothing is ever easy.  The ease with which we've been winning is hard work.  Let off the gas at all and we're cooked no matter who we play.

They're 8-3.  Haven't beaten anyone significant but two of their losses were Pitt by 10 and Cleve St by 4.

I don't really care where we're ranked as long as we get to MAC play and keep it up. Top 25 would be great but if we go 11-5 in conference then who cares . . . Great win tonight.

Rarely agree with Ozcat.  On the money here.  Need to win the next three then get the team together and burn the pre-conference schedule.  Start the MAC season like we are 0-0.  This team can be special.
