A couple of things about the James ejection. 1.) If the officials need to review the replay for such a long time (must have been 6-7 minutes), shouldn’t they come to the conclusion that there’s not enough evidence to remove the player from the game, and, 2.) why is there no replay of it (or anything else) on the scoreboard? Is it a staffing/training issue, not permitted by MAC/NCAA rules, something else? We seem to have a rather top notch scoreboard that’s underutilized.

Does anyone have an idea what EJ4 did to warrant a flagrant 2 and ejection? Boals and radio guys post game seemed to not really know.
I was in the Convo and had no idea but re-watched it on ESPN+ (26:30 into broadcast) and it almost looks like he makes fist contact to the BSU guy's face by wildly extending his arm after they got tied up trying to box. Didn't seem intentional at all but I don't know what the rule book says about a fist and a face. Watching it a couple times it makes a little more sense but I'm still shocked that's a play that gets a guy tossed. Elmore wasn't even looking at the guy, it seemed unintentional to me.

Was at the game also and did not see what actually happened. It took FOREVER for the refs to make a decision. Too bad EJ was ejected but the team was not Dejected - Overcame - and I think was a positive overcoming that. Confident Boals will insure same long term positive result per EJ happens also.....

The ejection was ridiculous even if they deemed it intentional. I would've been fine with a flagrant 1 (is that a thing in college?) but a double technical would've been the right call IMO. The BSU player was clearly engaged with Elmore prior to the arm flailing.

Ball State is the most improved team in the league this season, mostly because of a brand new backcourt with transfers Boogie Coleman, who was MAC frosh of the year at Ball St. before transfering and starting for Missouri last year, and Demarius Jacobs from St. Louis. Both average around 13-14 pts, 3-4 boards and 3 assists. Jacobs leads the league in blocked shots. If nothing else, the pair relegate former starter Luke BumbalOUgh from starter to little-used backup. You think BRod saw his 3-pt shooting % decrease drastically, check out Luke's numbers. Yet, Ball St. announcers still refer to him as a sharpshooter.
If this game is close at the end I would consider the Hack-a-Sparks strategy.
Will students be back on campus for 2 homes games this week?
Probably not. Classes don't start until next Tuesday. The dorms do open at 9 Saturday morning.
Semesters are awful. Bring back quarters!
I'm sure I'm one of the few (if any) Attackers that experienced both semesters and quarters.
Can confirm that semesters suck!
Spring Quarter in Athens, nothing better.
I also experienced both and can confirm. Semesters are the worst. Students today have no idea.

If I recall correctly, Ohio wanted 1 system (quarters or semesters).
Both systems had advantages and disadvantages.
Semesters won out, even though OSU did everything they could to stay on quarters.

It was one of the worst officiated games I've seen in several years.

I agree completely.
I know Devon Baker has (deservedly so) received some bad reviews for his play so far this year, but I will offer up some praise for the guy with his late game free throws against Ball St. He went to the line, scoreless on the night, and hit two big freebies late that iced the game.

I agree about Baker -- thise were clutch.
My wife was yelling in my ear the whole game that the refs were either totally incompetent or something worse. I thought she was exaggerating until it took them 15 minutes to decide that EJ had committed a flagrant two.
