I'm bored so decided to evaluate our frosh class so far this year by stats and what I've seen in game. I understand it's a small sample of what is to come (especially TO percentage), but feel free to offer your opinions or arguments as well.

#24 AJ Brown

5 GP (Injured for 4), 89 mins played, 57% from field, 35% from three, 60% FT's made, 7 RB's, 5 AST's, 1 TO, 2.4% TO percentage, 2 BLKs, 1 STL, 52 pts, 10.4 PPG

Lots and lots of promise here. Looks great shooting and one of our best on ball defenders we have. Takes care of the ball. I think he deserves 30 mins and maybe even a few starts in the future. I hope we find a way to keep him for three more years, and that he keeps up the momentum. 100 - 120 point season is my prediction.

#10 Aiden Hadaway

9 GP, 97 mins played, 46% from field, 20% from three, 60% FT's made, 19 RB's, 2 AST's, 6 TO's, 15.6% TO percentage, 4 BLK's, 2 STL's, 34 pts, 3.8 PPG

He has shown flashes he can be great in the paint, but I've noticed he sometimes makes ill advised decisions which result in turnovers. IMO, with development and confidence building, I believe he may become one of our better rebounders and paint players in the future. Probably an 80-90 point season. I wish he could have nailed that alley oop against Cleveland State, he totally was going to posterize that poor CState player.

#1 Elmore James IV

7 GP, 62 mins played, 58% from field, 0% from three, 100% FT's made, 9 RB's, 3 AST's, 5 TO's, 16.2% TO percentage, 1 STL, 32 pts, 4.6 PPG

Elmore has proven to be a good bulldozer, bully bucket player. I personally think he deserves a little more minutes a game but also has a bit of a TO problem. If he keeps up a great FT percentage he could make opposing teams pay either by driving to the bucket or drawing fouls. One thing I like is he is very confident and smooth out there - looks like he belongs. 70-80 point season

#0 Ajay Sheldon

9 GP, 87 mins played, 41% from field, 42% from three, 14% FT's made, 6 RB's, 10 AST's, 3 TO's, 16.6% TO percentage with 3.33 TO/AST ratio, 1 BLK, 4 STL's, 14 pts, 1.6 PPG

Promising shooter and passer but I find him to be a bit shaky on the floor at times. FT's will need work - bit of a scrappy player, but also could be another one of our best defenders on the floor. Totally could be our next PG of the future, But will need more work to get there which I'm sure he will get. One thing I've noticed in warmups - he can jump extremely high to the rim, maybe a dunk in the future? 60 point season is my prediction for him.

#15 Quinn Corna

1 GP, 8 mins played, 75% from field, 0% from three, 1 RB, 3 AST's, 6 points

Very small look into what he could be, but I think Quinn is one of our potential underrated depth pieces for the team. Shot well in the 1 game he started, and had a few good assists to boot. I think he will likely be a bench guy going forward, with likely a few more games played this year.

#14 Ben Estis

0 GP, Redshirted for 22-23

To be honest, was a bit too hyped about him coming into this year but tried to keep my excitement to a minimum. It makes me wonder if the staff sees something in Estis that could ring well for us in the future. I've seen him shoot well in warmups.

Really good analysis. Now, I'd be interested in your analysis of Wiznitzer. [Did I spell his name correctly? I didn't look it up.]

You got it correct, personally while he had a rough start to the year he's been better as of late. I feel like he's making strides in regards to his hands and using his size to his advantage. He has a few good moves in the post. He is still a project, but making huge steps towards becoming the starting center for 2023-24. However if he isn't up to par by then can see Ezuma taking his minutes or starting spot even.

His stats are this: 9 GP, 1 GS, 133 mins played, 59% from field, 0% from three on one attempt, 76% FT's made, 30 RB's, 8 AST's, 14 TO's, 1 BLK, 2 STL's, 48 points scored for 5.3 PPG.

I could see him having an 100 point season. It also concerns me about his ball handling skills still leading him to turn it over but I'm hopeful he will improve.
