Robert Morris is going to come in to the Convo fired up.  A slow start or lulls like against Kennesaw will lead to a big loss for sure.

Hope I see a crazy packed Ozone.

We need to be way more aggressive and physical than we were against Kennesaw or we will have problems.  I'd love to see us put on full court pressure early and use our bench to our advantage to get a good lead on them early and keep the crowd into the game.

I'll say about 7,000 easy Monday night.

Bobcats need to play better than the past 2 games to win this one.  I think it will come down to the end and I fear a disappointment coming.  But that is just the cynic inside me talking.

A win would put the Cats at 8-0 at home vs OOC teams and,  I think, be the best record ever against OOC at home.  I haven't look through all the seasons but the best I've found is 5-0 in several years, the most recent being 08-09.

This game scares me quite a bit.  Any opinions on if the students will be there en masse to give us the true home court advantage we need?

Based on the increasing length of the season and our current scheduling strategy, I'd be shocked in 8-0 isn't an all-time best.  I doubt we've played 8 home OOC games more than maybe a couple times.

Another game with no line. Thankfully this is the last of these as we are now entering the conference schedule.
I was thinking we would be a 6-8 point favorite in this one.
Anyone else have a prediction?

If we bring back the defensive intensity we had prior to the last two games we should be fine. But this game does worry me as well.  I haven't seen them play yet but looking at the numbers some things stand out.  Like us they use a lot of players so that negates one of our normal advantages.  They try to slow the game to a crawl.  It could be a really ugly game. They turn the ball over and force a lot of turnovers.   They also are a very good offensive rebounding team and also get to the FT line a lot.   But everything begins and ends with our defense. If we play it to our potential we win.  If we don't we could be in for a frustrating night.

One thing we do have going for us is this is a trap game for them. They have Bryant on Thursday so I'm sure they are looking past us.

Sagarin would have us -10 (4 pts of that for home court).

Agree that this is a tough matchup.  Ohio has to come to play, and play better than the last two games, or else it could be a lonnggg night.

But, keep in mind that Ohio has lost two years in a row to this bunch.  If our guys have any pride, which I believe they do, they have to be really focused on finding a way to win this one.

I'm not worried at all. We've risen to the occasion every time. There will be students and the juniors have lost to Bobby Mo twice in a row... they'll be ready.

Russ says that one of the officials for the game is not there yet because of the snow.   Hopefully this isn't a replay of yesterday's Marshall/Akron game.

According to someone on my Facebook, there was one hell of a pileup on 77 South just north of Marietta (to the tune of 22 cars and a couple of tractor trailers) earlier this afternoon. So that may be the issue.

Maybe not, they had cleared it by 5PM, but apparently it was backed up for forever, so it still could be from it.

Three pointers simply aren't falling.  This is not looking good, but it's very early.

RMU 23-14 just under the 10:00 mark.

This place erupted when DJ stole it and hit the fast break 3 before half. Student section has to get more into it!

Made a great run, got the lead and then followed it up with the worst stretch of offensive/defensive possessions of the game.

When Robert Morris is able to put up shots, they simply either don't miss or they end up getting the offensive board.

Just a pathetic offensive effort down the stretch. Why are they playing at such a breakneck pace only down a basket?

Best time to take the bad loss is now in order to kick butts in gear for MAC play.
