After reading the Messenger pregame article today I have to ask why is BG's record is so bad?
Jason, talked up their starters as all world, as well as their clamp down zone D. This article made me think we have little chance.
I would love to see our guys win this one and start to feel that we can finally win @ BG.
A win would also go a long way to restoring some lost confidence after the Robert Morris loss.
I expect BG to let Cooper shoot all the 3's he wants today. Maybe he will repeat his performance from a game @ Buffalo a few years ago where he pumped in 41.

Post subject: It's time for BG to put up or shut up!

It's now the start of the MAC season and BG comes limping into conference play with a losing record, on the heels of having lost four of the last five games. What's more, BG opens the conference slate against Ohio which is not only the hottest team in the MAC, but one of the hottest team country and is just outside of the Top-25. Year after year we wallow in men's basketball anymore, and this year was supposed to be different. We returned four of our starting five, have senior leadership, and heard all the talk about how being picked last in the MAC East was motivation, and thus far this season has been rather disappointing yet again. Well, here is the time for this program (players and coaches) to prove this team is different than in past years, or if we're headed for just more of the same. BG has a HUGE opportunity to make a major statement vs Ohio and I think this game is going to tell us exactly what we're going to do in the MAC this season. We'll find out if we are contenders or pretenders right here in this one.

This game is beyond weird.
0 fouls for Bowling Green and under 5 for Ohio with only ~7.5 minutes to go in the first half.

Well that was fun. Certainly glad that I made sure to set aside time so I could watch/listen to the game (those STO announcers REALLY suck). Excuse me while I vomit.

(and yes, i'll block off time on wednesday to watch/listen to the ub game, regardless the assumption that i'll be disappointed again)

This an experienced Ohio team.  They didn't quit down 13, but how we played going from 6 up to 13 down in 15 minutes was ugly. We didn't look like a top 100 team tonite.

This is John Groce basketball. Get used to it!
