This is a message board I can say  I want. Like I said the last 5 minutes was TERRIBLE COACHING. There is now 2 seconds left and we are down by 3. Groce WASTED over 40 seconds in the last 2 min of the game. Unacceptable highschoolish at best.

I can't remember seeing him ever make one of those running one handed floaters.  

But, this isn't just a DJ problem.  Whole team is a bunch of bricklayers right now.  Miss TFree.  Got to work through it.

Off the top of my head. Random things I would like to see:

1) DJ shoot less and run the offense instead of trying to impress NBA scouts and worry about his stats
2) Goard play more
3) Run some plays for Kellogg. Might be the only real offensive weapon we have.
4) Ivo not back down defenders like Charles Barkey ala 1999
5) Ivo not shoot 15 foot fade aways
6) Offut shoot more
7) Keely get the ball in the post more.
8) DJ not shoot a 0% shot when the shot clock is winding down. Every time the clock runs down to 10 sec we all know whats going to happen.
9) Stevie Taylor get more PT. Cant hurt.
10) TJ play less, sorry just havent seen much yet this year from him. I dont understand his game. I  want him to be a slasher, not a long range shooter?

Any chance that this team starts running and pressing ..trapping all game since we obvious have no big men other than Big Reg? If we dont have shooters then we sure have some athletes it seems so we might as well get up 200 shots a game!

Seriously, I haven't given up on this basketball team yet.   They are certainly going through a very rough stretch right now.  I agree with some of the comments about DJ.  He should go back to what he does best -- ball handling, creating, and finding the open guy for uncanny assist passes.  While he occasionally gets hot and can hit some threes, that's not the heart of his game.  It seems he's gotten away from the TEAM concept that was so notable in his freshman year.  Of course right now his team mates, most of them, aren't hitting either, so it's hard to figure out what is the best thing to do to dig out of this hole.  That's what we pay JG the big bucks to figure out.  I'll bet we'll be a team on a mission against KSU.

I thought the ESPN 'nouncers were pretty decent.  They were dead on in noting that we should've been fouling 'kron quickly in the last couple of minutes.  What was the point of not fouling for somehing like 30-40 seconds when we were down about 8 or 9?

I think that 'kron was 29-44 from the line?  I didn't catch the entire game.  Maybe I just heard and saw the times when they missed a lot of free throws but it seemed that their misses kept us in the game and in the lead almost the whole way.

Akron has a nice team and it's going to be difficult to beat the better MAC teams on the road. Look at the Big Ten this week. I think all the top, ranked teams went down on the road.

The same as ANYTHING that you choose to post. Just because you call it apple pie doesn't mean that everyone else has to eat it. There is no true value to 99% of the statements on any sports message board made about a particular team so no your posts about how great Ohio played against Akron will not affect their play next game. Sorry.

I have almost become immune to these trials and tribulations of the current Bobcat Hoops Team. If we didn't make it into the Top 25 with the start we had, then where we sit now doesn't matter to me. It will all come down to the insanity produced by the 3 days in Cleveland. I ain't happy about it but that is the way it is. I didn't have us winning at BG or Akron so I'm prepared mentally and look forward to 4 homies in a row.

I believe there is a place for the naysayers on this board.  This message board should allow for multiple opinions. There is some merit to people questioning this team. We have some real issues with this team. I want to be positive, but I to have some concerns.  I'm not ready to panic, and we are still in good shape, but we have a few problems.

Oh really ..since there are 3 current football players here due to their ability of course but also due to me turning them on to OHIO and introducing them to the coaches. There is no value. GTFOH. Go somewhere and comment on someone who really cares.
