Basketball is so much more fun when you make shots.
Making shots is key, but we also won the rebounding margin by 12 (offensive 16 to 4), the turnover battle by 8, and went to the line 6 more times, making six more shots. That says more to me that just making shots. That says they out played Kent in every facet of the game AND they made shots.
Yes, I agree we outplayed them from start to finish and, to use a word from a previous era, we started and finished the game with a "great mindset." That mindset, I believe, showed itself primarily with the intensity we played with. As I said, I thought it equaled that of the UNI and UL games. I'm hoping that JG is learning how to get his guys into this mindset prior to every game coming up that is even mildly challenging. We can't afford many more slips.
