DJ! Slash to the net! If you feel like you need to make a game changing play, don't chuck it up from mid-court, go for the rim and try to draw a foul!

EDIT: As the 2nd half has progressed I've GOT to withdraw this complaint...in part b/c DJ has started to do this.

Akron won on Saturday thanks to them having the refs in their back pocket, so it would be nice for the Bobcats to get a call at home.

I realize the Cats make layups at a worse % then a 2nd grade team, but Kent is hacking on D and just got a gift And 1 after the most obvious charge I've ever seen goes uncalled.

Good finish to the half. Shots falling...but is that because the right guys are shooting?

Man! What does ivo have to do to draw a foul? Refs just look the other way for blatant shoves.

The amount of contact kent is getting away with is ridiculous. They are literally getting called for one of every three shoves.yes we are up 20 as I type this

If you told me before this game we would win by 23 I would have thought you were smoking something.
WOW, these guys came out after half time and just destroyed Kent. This game was over at the 13 minute mark.
Great game.

On any given night.

Realistically there are 5 maybe 6 teams who can win the MAC tourney. Its just going to come down to who can get hot for 2-3 games.

Our defense has been good all season. Tonite we got the offense back on track.  We absolutely hammered Kent State. Worst beating we handed them since Bassett torched them in Cleveland a couple seasons ago.

In the new format if you get the top seeds it is a bit easier

We shot 63 shots - 21 of them were three pointers.  That's a break out stat.

and that is still not the tempo we want. ....Insane.

the numbers of O rebounds and complete control of D rebs were amazing when you add in the number of turns. That is a lot of ball in the hands of the good guys.

I know we had excellent shooting from 3-land, but I think an equally important stat from the game tonight was us going 20-24 from the stripe.

Yes, it makes a very big difference when you hit free throws at that percentage!  I couldn't have been happier with our performance tonight.  Everyone shot the ball well and we played together as a TEAM.  ....Jon Smith is really improving folks, good job rebounding tonight and 2 good blocked shots. Good win.

so we shot 17 of 42 from inside the arc - 40.5%
shot 52% from three

got it.

Surprisingly low number of assists for such an offensively prolific game. That's the one worrying thing I'm taking from tonight.

That along with the number of times they went to the line (compared to the last few games), and the turnover margin,  is a big reason the win was so big.  Your point about the extra pass was big too.  Allowed for more shots to be in the flow of the offense, and they just seemed to play so much faster, even in the half court.

I'm not gonna beat on John, because he is getting better each week, and more involved on the offense.  Still seems to commit some silly fouls to get in foul trouble.

We had a lot of offensive rebounds and free throws as well.  All of those combined will bring the assist total down.
