Just drove from my house on the east side (close to where Damon's used to be) to the Convo in an AWD Rav 4.
33 bypass - the bridges are very icy, right lane is wet with a few patches of ice, left lane is still somewhat covered. I drove 40 or less the whole way
Richland Avenue, Court Street, East State Street - all are wet with ice in the turning lanes on Richland and East State
Athens side streets - ice covered but the snow plow just went by my house dropping whatever they drop these days.
The big problem is the ice on the sidewalks and in the Convo parking lots. OU folks are out but it is a Saturday and this is overtime I'm sure.
Here's my two cents worth. For every half hour you're traveling to get to Athens, add 15 minutes to your travel time. Wear shoes/boots that aren't slick soled. Drive with caution and everything will be fine. If you hit the bars before or after the game, watch your step. The sidewalks are very slick in many places. This is not a promotion but as usual, Broney's already has the spaces around their business ready for pedestrian traffic. Love him or hate him, John does do a great job of running his business and taking care of his customers.
See you at the game.
