Anyone have any info? I got a call Early AM> Any info?

2005 when Ohio left Muncie we did not return home for 7 days.  Hoping power is restored and I get a speedy answer from the heart of campus.

I live on the east side and ours was out early this morning but has been back on for two hours.  On the flip side, this place is one big ice skating rink.  I need to go to Krogers and it's not even safe to walk.  Hope it warms up quickly.

I live on west union less than a mile from the convo and we have had power all through the night. This side of town seems fine.

It is an ice rink.  Temp at 10am is 30.3.  They were on the roads last night, but have not tried to use them.  We did have power all night.

Hey people, how about STOP giving everyone bad news and tell everyone it will be fine in a few hours and it will be completetly SAFE to come to the game.  You guys are so negative about everything on here.  Do you not want fans to come today?  Just say that instead of saying everything is ice which it clearly is not.  I've been on the roads already and its clear. Unreal.

I would think you would want our fans to be safe. it's horrible outside. I'm 30 min from the convo and as of now will not even attempt to drive in there. solid ice everywhere

Folks...thanks to all for the info.  Obviously, this is a treacherous morning on the roads all over Ohio.  I love my Bobcats but a trip from Cincy just isn't in the cards today.  I have my tx so I am supporting the Cats but I'll be watching today.  Please root them on for me.  Bummer, biggest day in years and I'm gonna miss it!

The roads are fine. maybe a little slick in some spots but not solid ice at all. Nobody should have a hard time getting to the convo today.

VERY VERY icy at 118 Mill Street, but power is on.

Went outside and literally our trash bags are solid covered in ice.  Trees hanging, power lines hanging... Doesn't matter.  MUCK FIAMI.

My breakfast coven was out today and down slippery driveways but we made it.  Main roads are passable, back roads are the same here near Albany.  Just use normal winter caution.

I made it from my apartment next to Alexander High to the Baker Center lot in about 20 minutes. Backroads icy in some spots but 32/50 was fine if you go about 10 mph under the limit. Campus roads seem fine, too.

Well, I live in Morgan County and I've only seen one vehicle this morning, which was a state truck with chains on. It's really bad out here. It may be fine around Athens, which traffic flow will help the roads, but out here it's still solid ice.

Dad is on his way down 33 from Columbus right now.  He said 33 is fine all the way down.  Has to go about 50-55 but he said its a lot better than he expected.  Didn't lose any power here on Franklin Avenue through the night.  Have to agree that the sidewalks are bad, but with proper shoes I haven't had too much of a problem.

The weather is becoming more manageable by the hour, especially if you're coming from Columbus.

We made the drive down from Columbus at 9:30am.  Roads were a little slick, though the left lane in some areas around Logan wasn't passable unless you had 4-wheel.  Roads in Athens at 11am were iceless around the University and uptown.  No doubt the outskirts were icy.  It was no different than any other day though -- just take your time, leave earlier, and drive smart.

We had zero problem getting to Athens from Canton via 77, 50, 50/32.  Most of the times both lanes were clear and wet, but the right lane was clear and wet the entire time.  We left at 9:00, and pulled into the Convo lot before 11:30...same 2.5 hours it always takes me.

Is this trolling or stupidity? Our power was out for about 30 hours and nobody could go outside Friday night. Even yesterday evening it was plain dangerous to go some places.
