So wait, students can't get out of bed at 10:15am to get to The Convo after going to bed at say, 4am? Six hours of sleep, with plenty of afternoon to take a nap is a hard life. Let's be real - those that want to be there will get out of bed and be there. I'm 35 years old - I get out of bed to play soccer games at 8am on Sundays with hangovers sometimes. If I can do it, a 20 year can do it. Add to that, as bornacat has pointed out in a
previous thread, every other school that's part of the 11am ESPNU tip off has managed to do it, and have a decent crowd. Instead of making excuses as to why students CAN'T get out of bed early enough for this game, how about making reasons for why people be at this game?
-We're 16-4. Don't know when that happened last in OUr first 20 games, but it doesn't occur every year.
-We're usually a lot of fun to watch.
-We win games at home often - in case seeing a winning team is priority in life for some
-And my #1 reason for students, as I've said since I was a freshman at OU: It's 2 1/2 hours of
FREE ENTERTAINMENT!
