Just want to know what you guys feel about this game being on ESPN3, instead of the U or the deuce. UNC-Asheville is leading the Big South, so on paper you'd think this is one of the more enticing matchups...

Yeah, we got ripped off if you compare the teams that got a TV game.  Hell, we beat NIU, and they're on TV.  Oh wait, they're in the Missouri Valley.

I agree about us getting screwed but NIU is on the road so we can't compare our game with theirs.

Will the radio show be on ohiobobcats.com or something?  I'd like to listen to it on my 4 hour break between classes tomorrow.

The shows are archived here, click on the On Demand tab: http://client.stretchinternet.com/client/ohio.portal#

But I wouldn't count on it being on there tomorrow. Maybe in two weeks.

Four home teams with worse RPI's get TV games and countless road teams..  Sorry, ESPN3 doesn't count.

Buffalo is a road team, you can't compare us to them.  We should have gotten a real TV game though.

I'm not saying you're right or wrong, but do you actually KNOW this?

One thing I have to say about this:  I love John Groce a little more after today.  He didn't mince words about how ticked off he is about this.

My complaint is Valpo vs LMU getting the TV game, and not us.  Really, I guess LMU, since they're the home team.  The rest, I kind of understand.

Four home teams: VCU, Loyola Marymount, New Mexico State, and Missouri State all have worse RPI's than us.

I just don't get it. ESPN, or someone in the process, screwed us. That's all there is to it.

Possible rational of some of the teams:

VCU- Good draw and have a great win against KU
MO State- MVC
Loyola- West Coast Time Zone
-New Mexico State- Stronger conference

This bites big time.  Shows what a fraud this whole Bracket Buster crap is.  I hope this gives our guys the motivation to go out an put 120 on the Huskies Wednesday night and then 150 on UNC Asheville.  Then they can go say screw you ESPN.

You guys were indeed screwed. I think vcu's run last year gave them a good matchup that they did not earn in their own right, but that is where the politics come in and they can milk that for money from ratings.

Disappointing or not, I wouldn't be so quick to disparage UNC-Asheville. They have played UNC, NC State, UConn and Tennesee and other than UNC they appear to have given a pretty good representation of themselves.

This is a made for TV event so VCU is understandable though.  No matter how much we love Ohio, VCU's name has much higher cache than ours right now.  We lost out to Loyola Marymount because they fill the late Friday game.  If we had been a road team I have no doubt we would be on regular TV but the competition on home teams was much tougher.  The biggest problem I have with the matchup isn't that UNC-Asheville isn't worthy, it's just not a very intriguing matchup long term. Getting a team that is somewhere in our footprint might have led to a series of games against another good program.  This will just be a two and done.

They could have put New Mexico State in that spot (instead of a 12 PM local time game)

Not sure if we were willing to host a late Friday night game though.  And does anybody else think it's odd that Creighton is playing the 10pm game on Friday?

The one team that made out like a bandit is Akron.  A win against Oral Roberts will go a long way towards increasing their resume.  Buffalo also did pretty well with SD State.

I meant NMSU would host the late Friday game and we get the 3 PM Saturday game.
