Have I mentioned that I absolutely love his game??  This kid deserves a lot of credit.  17 minutes today...5 pts, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals.  He is far an away the best defender we have on the roster and is capable of playing much bigger than his 6'4" frame.  Just seems to be one speed with him and it's full-go.  He goes up strong for every rebound and plays amazing on the ball defense. To me, he is the most improved player from a year ago.

P.S.    Statistically, John Smith is the best free throw shooter on the team at 85%

Hats off to Ricardo and give credit, where credit is due.  I've believed he's only an intangibles type guy and his role should not expand until he proves he can actually hit a bunny in traffic and nail a jump shot.  Today appeared to be another step in the right direction as he nailed a couple nice jumpers (without banking them in and admitting he wasn't trying to bank the shot).  Hope he keeps developing.  Good job Ricardo!

Appears to be playing with more and more confidence, especially so with his shot today. Love seeing him and Offutt on the floor at the same time - a great perimeter defensive combo.

THat combo with Stevie, Goard and Rico on the floor is so blindingly fast. FOrced Turnover off the inbound right away. Just insane. Speed and defensive feet make turnovers and transition O will work itself out.  I would love to see a defender try to keep his back to the basket with RIco and Stevie running down the floor passing and not letting the ball hit the floor in the classic drill everyone does for practice warm up in HS.
