Idk if you call this a gimme game - NIU has strung together some solid performances over the last few games beating Kent and BGSUCKS.. Would be awesome to get another road dub going into playing Kron this Friday night.

Not a gimme? I think you're looking at this from the wrong perspective. I haven't seen a line but figure we're a 7 point dog most likely. NIU right now is a better team than Ohio. They are loving life on the road in the MAC.

I'm guessing the line will be pick em or NIU by 1 or 2.

Tuesday will be a toss-up game. For as badly as Ohio has played this year on the road, KenPom gives them a 57% chance of winning and ESPN's BPI gives them a 71.6% shot.

It's been a tough, roller coaster season so far but some of the posters on this board are overly pessimistic about this squad.

Are they great? No. Are they still a middle of the pack MAC squad with a chance to have a winning record this year? Yes.

KenPom projects Ohio to finish 17-14 (9-9) overall which is right around where the preseason polls had them. It was never going to be an easy season after losing Sears and BVP. The key for them is to continue getting better and play their best basketball heading into March which is certainly a possibility with their remaining schedule.

Let's hope they finish strong instead of fading down the stretch like last year. It all starts with a win Tuesday at NIU.

+1. I have been having a gut feeling since the beginning of this year this squad is going to string together some great wins at the end of the year, I hope I'm right.

I meant to say NIU shouldn't be underestimated given recent performances - I'm sure we will likely be an underdog or minor 1-2 point favorite.

This is a big one. This upcoming three game stretch will really tell us a lot about this squad.

I hope the Miami game fired up the troops. I expected ups and downs as we established chemistry but now it's time to implement what they've learned the first half of the season

Huge game. Posted in the golf standings I think this game determines whether we're a 5 or 6 seed vs a 7 or 8 seed in Cleveland.

NIU playing really well right now.

Even with green glasses on I call this one a coin flip.

Cats by 1 on a buzzer beater.

Agree. It feels weird to call a random early Feb game at NIU as the game of the season but it really feels like it is.

NIU, strangely enough, is playing better basketball the past 3-4 weeks than any team in the MAC not named Akron.

Strange because this has happened without their best player. NIU was 4-11 with leading scorer Keyshawn Williams (17.9) in the lineup. Since he went down, the team has gone 6-2, including a win over Kent.

It's not going to help not having AJ Brown in the lineup if he's still not available.

From what I heard it could be Akron game he could be back? Boals said in postgame presser he won't play tomorrow.

We have multiple others that could step up and perform to compensate. They just need to do it....

It's also not going to help playing on quite possibly the most
hideous floor in all of DI.

Ohio is a 4 point favorite. NIU has won 5 of their last 6...4 of those on the road. I'm a little surprised by this and was expecting close to 0 on the line.

I'm not touching that line after NIU's win over Kent crushed my MAC basketball parlay.

Can anyone make sense of this line? No AJ Brown and we struggle on the road. This is ridiculous, but there is a reason why Vegas has tall buildings. No such thing as free money.
