Game on FloHoop via FloSports - same streaming platform that last spring CBI was on.

Looks like Colonial Athletic Association has a league wide deal to show all games on FloSports.
Warning: Don't sign up for Flosports unless you want it long term or want to go through a real gauntlet to cancel your subscription. Been there, done that. It wasn't pretty.
Crap. This is exactly what I was planning to do, haha. Really want to watch this game.
You can sign up with a prepaid Visa card or something with the exact amount of the minimum subscription on it. Then if the cancellation process is a pain, you don’t have to worry about being charged again.
BOOM 💥 this guy knows how to play that game! Or use Apple Pay on their app and just un subscribe and your card can’t be used.

OCF - naturally curious as to why it was such a hassle? I went and read their cancellation policy and it sounds like a simple process (maybe it’s changed?). Sounds like you can sign up for the month, cancel, and you’ll only get billed for that month.

Regardless, I’m going to attempt one of these methods and hope there’s no headache involved.
It's possible that they changed their policy, but I'm skeptical. Do they now allow you to cancel online, or do you still have to call? That would be a major improvement. As I recall back then it sounded like it was easy to cancel after a month, but it actually wasn't. Back before we had ESPN+ I used to sign up for streaming services as different universities we were playing. Never had a problem canceling after a month if they didn't have an option to just buy one game. Flosports stands out as being the real stinker. I think using a pre-paid card is the ideal way to sign up with them.
Appreciate the insight, OCF!
I just checked, and on their website they now have instructions about how you can cancel online. It does look like they've cleaned up their act.

https://support.flosports.tv/s/article/How-to-cancel
Update: I signed up via the Apple App Store on my iPhone. That way it’s easy to cancel via the App Store. You go in and cancel reoccurring billing. I’ve done it many times and it’s easy. The process is controlled by Apple and not Flosports. I think that this is much better than using a CC of any type.

Is it more expensive through the App Store? (Like does apple add its standard 30%?) I just looked on flosports website and its cheapest option was $29.99. Yikes.

Nope, my payment was the same atrocious $29.99. I just figured that's a lot less than I would have spent if I'd traveled to NewArk for the game. You know OHIO fans can rationalize anything!

Judging by 90% of the messages on this thread being about how to cancel a subscription, I'm guessing there will be no audio available either?

I can't justify paying $30 to watch just one game especially vs a not high major program. Listening to Russ & Rob and watch game stats online for free.

Nice little arena, great sightlines, cozy. Seats maybe…4500-5000 (though my very imprecise guess would be not much more than 500 in the house tonight)

Looking around, i can’t for the life of me see any TV cameras…unless there is one almost exactly opposite me

Student section consists of one loud guy dressed up as one of Santa’s elves

$30 for one game - Nah. Russ & Rob were just fine. But I was a guy who as a kid listened to the Reds on WLW radio - often with the radio under my pillow when late at night for west coast games so my parents did not know....and enjoyed every minute - just as I did tonight (except when took a break to watch Zelensky address to joint session of congress)

Great team win tonight.

5 players double figures scoring!

Only 7 TO's - Keep this up!

AJ Clayton Great game leading scorer!

DW III Huge Double/Double!

AJB another great game!

The O/U was 137 - Ohio scored 95 alone!

This could be a real momentum builder!

This reminds me of the time when I was in junior high or early high school. I was listening to a Reds game (though a Cub fan) with a radio under my pillow, as described by another poster. The Reds were down by about nine runs with two out in the 9th. I turned the radio off, as it was late. I woke up the next morning to learn I had missed the biggest comeback in National League yesterday and the Reds had won. Ever since, I'm not one to leave any game early or turn the tube off if there's even a slight chance of a comeback.

I've always been on the bleed-edge of technology.  It didn't get hot, but it did make my pillow a little lumpy!  This is a 1960 vintage transistor radio that I was an early adopter of.  It was probalby the radio I had under my pillow.

I went to the game and it didn't cost me $29.99!

(If we exclude the pregame meal and drink I had at a nearby bar, and the purchase price of my house a couple miles from the arena)

20 for 21 at the line is pretty insane. Clayton 9 for 9...he only made 7 free throws all last season! Another indication his game has evolved.

Wilson/Wiz and Hunter/Sheldon were once again even swaps all game I believe. AJ & Miles 60 minutes between the 2 of them and Baker just 13, although he once again had some good minutes off the bench including a couple of assists. Rotation is starting to take shape in a way we all were calling for.

Great stuff overall. You can't be anything short of happy with our forwards the past month or so. In the MAC, many teams will really struggle with Wilson/Clayton/Wiz. All doing a great job rebounding and finishing in the paint...a lot of our opponents won't have an answer. Add the Brown bros draining 3s and Hunter running point...rebuilding year be damned, this is a MAC contender.

AJB getting national love from Jeff Borzello’s impact freshman article:
https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/insider/stor...

“Jason Preston, Mark Sears... AJ Brown? The Florida native could be the next star guard to come out of Jeff Boals' program. He missed the first few games of 2022-23 due to an injury, but over his last five appearances, Brown is averaging 14.4 points while shooting 56.3% from the field and 45.5% from 3. Boals moved him into the starting lineup against Stetson last weekend, and he made three 3s en route to 13 points and four boards.”

Man, I hope we can keep this kid. Whatever got him to Athens in the first place; here’s to the shine not rubbing off anytime soon.

It really is insane how lucky we have been with these 3 high major caliber guards all in a row. Count our blessings for sure.
