Students or not, it looks like we are going to get into the steep seats. Reserved seats in sections 201-205 are almost gone. The rest of the Convo is general admission and no idea how those sales are going but they are cheaper than 201-205.
I'm telling you we must protect the student section. There will be a ton of GA ticketholders in red drifting down there, really hope the department steps up and plays some defense. Unless they want a cluster of red shirts on the ESPN broadcast.

15 years since they won in the Convo, that being a triple OT loss. That's pretty fun and I'd like for that little factoid to continue after tonight. These guys are gonna be AMPED, with this group I could see that manifesting well...or poorly. Will be surprised by nothing tonight.

Any word on JJ Kelly's status? That's a pretty important question.

He was up and walking around during timeouts without crutches or a noticeable brace of any kind. Whatever happened to him at ODU looked bad in the moment but he was ready to go a week later.

I was physically spent in the O Zone after that 2011 game.

Would be really cool if Pav recreated the "Geno dribbling out the clock" highlight tonight.

Better than a Simmons dribbling out the clock highlight. Sorry, had to.

1/25/1992. Triple OT loss in the convo. Still one of the most exciting games I've seen in person.

Barring an improbable run in the tournament, this is the season. Beat these guys. Burst their bubble.

Ohio (the State) was established in 1803.
Ohio University in 1804.
Miami U in 1809.

217 years later and they still suck...

I have no problem being the team to ruin Fiami's perfect season.

I still think they could - emphasis COULD get in the tourney as a 2nd MAC team at 32-2 if they lost to Akron in the MAC finals. But it would be tight.

Regardless, an extra cool $180k+ a year for the budget for the next 6 years is a decent consolation prize if we lose tonight (assuming Fiami loses in the Cleveland).

Somebody slap these kids. Local Cincinnati NBC sports guy in Athens asking questions to students on Court St. First question to a student asking him how the Bobcats will stop Wally Szczerbiak. Kid went on to answer and had no idea. Next student in same group asked how they will stop Ron Harper. Another answer not realizing he was being punked. This says so much about so many things.

Yea, lotta green and red and 40-60 year old alumni on Court Street. Also appears that many students stayed in town. Gonna be fun, Go Bobcats,

That's embarrassing. But my guess is, outside the P5 (and maybe half of them too) - you'd get the exact same thing on any campus these days.

Skulls full of mush.

Miami students couldn't name their starting quarterback.

Did someone ring FearLeon?

In retrospect, if I knew that was going to be the last dribble of Simmons collegiate career, I would not have been so hard on him for that idiotic play.

Everybody’s favorite player… Two missed three-pointers and poor defense.

Same reporter should ask Miami students how they will stop Trent. Or DJ Cooper.

We have to stop switching on D. Getting killed every time with Miami taking advantage of mismatches. Quit switching!

Zero defense and Craptain Chaos has his first dribble too much and cough it up so of course Boals is shown ripping Kuany? Boals is a BS coacb.

And right on cue Hadaway bricks a FT and commits a foul. We will get boat raced in the second half. Is Burris hurt?

Hadaway misses foul shot, fouls guy 80 feet from basket, then that leads to 2 pts. Then Jeff asleep when Simmons gets foul 2 and lets him get foul 3 by keeping him on floor.

Thank God for Conners and Kuany stepping up. Guys are playing hard so can't fault that. Boals is flat out getting outcoached. If we can win this it will be because OUr guys are busting it.
