Well done Captain Chaos. You have made us the laughing stock of college basketball with your immature and idiotic comment.

FearLeon checks stats.

Captain Chaos Ohio teams are 0-9 vs Toledo.

The season can’t end soon enough.

There's a certain irony to making that statement while a Toledo transfer who actually played well sits alongside.

What an f'n idiot.

This roster improves leaps and bounds the minute this fool graduates - addition by subtraction.

I think you guys are being a little too hard on Aidan. This was a stupid comment, and I won't excuse its idiocy. He does have an anger management problem. But, he does work very hard when he's on the court, and he has a good heart. He's not a lazy player, like some I've seen over the years. He's also not a dirty player, like one I mentioned in an earlier post that was a real embarrassment for OHIO. Hadaway is sometimes out of control and he may not have the highest BBIQ, but he really does try to help OHIO win.

I'm with OCF on this one. I've been plenty critical of Hadaway, and think he's not the most self-aware basketball player around, but he plays hard and does a lot of little things well for us.

This team's shortcomings are on Boals. It's not Hadaway's fault he's been miscast as a leader; he's a role player, and that Boals has built a team around him is Boals's fault, not Hadaway's.

More than one thing can be true. It is both of their faults. Hadaway is a 22 year old senior. While Boals may have crapped the bed with his decision to let Hadaway loose, it is also on this paid athlete to figure out that jawing at the refs, flexing when down or barely up and questioning EVERY call that goes against him, is wrong. Yes he works hard. Yes he loves OU. That's not in question. What is in question is how fast can he graduate and we can move on from someone that has been defended all over the place without ever growing up himself.

+1,000,000

Incredibly well written that sums up the Captain Chaos era perfectly.

Simmons needs to grow up as well. Can't image our president and AD were pleased with his embarrassing visit to the Toledo sideline. He deserved a technical.

Seemed to fire up Toledo too. I firmly believe the premature trash talking and flexing does more harm than good. It will only motivate the opponent further.

I couldn't not believe he did not get T'd up. And then Rob C saying he was flexing to the Toledo fans behind the bench and not the players/coaches. Come on Rob C...ridiculous statement.

Tod K enjoyed this one immensely. Having his entire team behind him during the post-game interview on Ohio's home court spoke volumes.

That is exactly what he was doing though. Not even necessarily to the Toledo fans but our fans as well. Was he deliberately doing it that direction yeah probably, and essentially using this tactic as a loophole to taunt them without actually taunting them. But I watched his eyes he never even looked at the Toledo bench.

That's fine but the game was already on the ragged edge of dirty, with a real chance of fights breaking out. (Visions of Corky Taylor.) Simmons' actions certainly did not ease the tension. I give the Toledo squad and coach kudos for maintaining composure while we lost ours entirely. Total failure by Boals.

I thought there was a little talk with one of the Toledo assistants as well. Still should have been a T in my opinion regardless.

Simmons was the only guy on our team with a pulse. We get straight up blown out if not for that fire.

Immature or not, Toledo couldn't stop him and he stepped up.

OCF… how can anybody not be really critical of Hadaway this year. In another post, I stated that I think there are three crybabies, whiners, and wannabe officials on this team and Hadaway leads the group. Let’s hope he can grow up a little bit in the next couple weeks and play well going into the tournament. I have my doubts.

Agreed. But that doesn't excuse his behavior.

I knew we were in trouble when Hadaway did a one-handed pushup in front of the ref after committing a foul in the embarrassing preseason loss to Wright State.

I was hoping for a Treg Setty sort of maturation arc to Hadaway, and it didn't happen.

Wow, three negatives jammed together. Two negatives cancel each other out, leaving one negative?

Regardless and to your point, there were several times during the game I thought Boals, Hadaway and/or Simmons were getting T'd up. In fact, the refs went to the monitor three separate times to look for something, anything, only to decide that no call was in order.

This x10.

I think Hadaway and Simmons were jawing at the refs in the pre-game dunk contest in that WSU game. It was embarrassing.

This team makes my stomach hurt.

If Simmons stays, he needs to lock in as leader #1.

Because we do not have any other leadership coming back. Gonna be another year where we have to hammer the portal and hope we land on some guys that fit with our cabal of young shooters.

Unfortunately, I don't have high hopes - certainly all it takes is one or two portal guys to change your whole trajectory - but the lack of PT for guys like Evans, doesn't make me think thats changing much. Zero percent of me would be surprised to see him leave. Presumably Mosely / Kuany will shift into the 4? Simmons (if he stays) to the 5. JJ at the 3. Fisher at the 2. Portal at the 1? Can EE run point? Burris isn't exactly an athletic wonder, but he at least played PG in HS? Would love his size at 1.

Tremendous lack of depth at 4/5. No true PG. Portal Gods, save us.
